City Council February 19th, 2020
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Ernie R. Savary has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 66 to his eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Ernie was a truck driver with the City of Chicago Department of Aviation at O'Hare Airport; He was an avid reader and appreciated reading hundreds of books; Ernie also relished taking drives to Wisconsin to grab some pie from Apple Holler and enjoyed Wisconsin attractions; He was sincere, selfless, a gentleman, as well as, a great friend; He always tried to get a laugh out of everyone; Ernie was a manager of a newspaper office on 31st & Wallace St. for many years and taught many boys and girls how to deliver the daily newspaper; A long time resident of the Bridgeport community, he made many friends working at Bridgeport Video; and
WHEREAS, beloved son of the late James and the late Clara (nee Keiper); loving brother of Marlene, Geraldine, James, Connie, Joseph, late Philip and the late Amelia Savary; cherished friend of Margaret and Gabriella Marasco; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Erine to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this nineteenth of February 2020, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Ernie R. Savary and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
