RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, God in His Infinite Wisdom has called Emilie C. Mech to her eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman ofthe 13th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Emilie C. Mech (nee Serwa), age 92, born April 16,1928, at rest May 8, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Richard. Loving mother of Richard (Susan), Joyce (Michael) Athey, Eileen (late James) Cresto and Kenneth (Jennifer) Mech. Dear grandmother of Jamie (Katy), Jeff (Christine), Michael (Jamie), Rebecca (Daniel), Jimmy (Michelle), Nicolette (Thomas) and Angela. Dear great-grandmother of Maggie, Melissa, Lucas, Allen, Jayden, Ella, Cole, Dylan, Harper, Brody, Beckham, Charlotte; and
WHERAS, Emilie C. Mech leaves a legacy of faith, dignity, compassion and love; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this twentieth day of May, 2020, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Emilie C. Mech and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to the family of Emilie C. Mech.
