CONGRATULATIONS EXTENDED TO POLICE OFFICER ANTHONY SPATAFORA, STAR #16054 ON RETIREMENT FROM CHICAGO POLICE
DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, Police Officer Anthony Spatafora, Star#16054, one of the city's most dedicated and respected Police Officers, is retiring from public service; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this occasion by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Police Officer Anthony Spatafora, an Honorably Discharged Navy Veteran having received one Problem Solving Award, one Department Commendation Award, thirty-one Honorable Mentions, and one hundred twenty-four Complimentary Letters during his service with the Chicago Police Department, has represented the highest standards of public service, worthy of the respect of all city residents; and
WHEREAS, Police Officer Anthony Spatafora, as a Police Officer, Dare Officer, Great Officer, and Building Officer, has been a dedicated and faithful employee who has contributed greatly to the efficiency ofthe City of Chicago's Police Department; and
WHEREAS, Police Officer Anthony Spatafora has worked for over twenty-four years for the City of Chicago where his hard work and diligence will certainly be missed; and
WHEREAS, The leaders of this great City of Chicago are cognizant of the great debt owed our public servants; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this thirteenth day of April 2011, do hereby express our gratitude and heartiest congratulations to Police Officer Anthony Spatafora as he retires and we extend to this fine citizen our very best wishes for continuing success and fulfillment; and
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to Police Officer Anthony Spatafora.
