MEMORIAL RESOLUTION FOR THERESA Z. JOHNSON

WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that members of this Chamber learned of the death of Theresa Z. Johnson at the age of 82, on Tuesday, May 23, 2017; and

WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of her passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, Born on October 11,1934, Theresa was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth E.; loving mother of Jeanine (William) Malewig, the late Nancy DiLeo, Donna (Jeffrey) Nastaly, and John (Deborah); cherished grandmother of seven; proud great-grandmother of 1; and treasured friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Theresa leaves a legacy of faith, dignity and love; and

WHEREAS, Theresa touched the lives of all who knew her through her love and spirit. She will be deeply missed, but the memory of her character will live on in those who knew and loved her; now, therefore.

Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and member of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this twenty-eighth day of June, 2017, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Theresa Z. Johnson and express to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and

Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Theresa Z. Johnson as a token of our honor, gratitude, and respect.
