MEMORIAL RESOLUTION FOR RAY CARLSON
WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that the members of this Chamber learned of the death of Ray Carlson on January 8, 2018 at the age of 94; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman ofthe 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Ray was the beloved husband of (the late) Ann; loving father of Dave (Pam); cherished grandfather of Lyndsay (Mike) Garbacz; proud great grandfather of Peyton and treasured friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Patrick leaves a legacy of faith, dignity and love and
WHEREAS, Ray touched the lives of all who knew him through his kindness, generosity and vivacious spirit. He will be deeply missed, but the memory of his character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved him; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and Members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, assembled this seventeenth day of January, 2018, do hereby extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of Ray Carlson; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution are presented to the family of Ray Carlson as a sign of our honor, gratitude, and respect.
