SUBSTITUTE ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, the Annual Appropriation Ordinance for the year 2022 (the "2022 Appropriation Ordinance") of the City of Chicago (the "City") contains estimates of revenues receivable as grants from agencies of the state and federal governments and public and private agencies; and
WHEREAS, the City through its Office of Budget and Management previously appropriated federal grant funds in the amount of $1,506,776 by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") for the Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") program and desires to reallocate $100,000 to the Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities for the CDBG program; and
WHEREAS, the City through its Department of Housing has been awarded carryover federal grant funds in the amount of $6,916,000 by HUD for the CDBG program; and
WHEREAS, the City through its Department of Public Health ("CDPH") previously received and appropriated federal COVID-19 grant funds awarded by the United States Department of Health and Human Services for the Vaccine Preventable Diseases program, and CDPH now desires to reallocate $5,000,000 to the Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection for the same program; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:
SECTION 1. The amount of $5,100,000 in previously appropriated grant funds is hereby reallocated and the amount of $6,916,000 in carryover grant funds is hereby appropriated from Fund 925 - Grant Funds for the year 2022. The 2022 Annual Appropriation Ordinance is hereby amended by striking the words and figures and adding the words and figures indicated in the attached Exhibit A which is hereby made a part hereof.
SECTION 2. To the extent that any ordinance, resolution, rule, order or provision of the Municipal Code of Chicago, or part thereof, is in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance, the provisions of this ordinance shall control. If any section, paragraph, clause or provision of this ord...
