RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Honorable Albert Green has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of eighty-eight; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Albert Green was a widely admired member of the judicial community and the loving husband of Celia and the late Virginia; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Albert Green was the much-adored father of Valerie, Michael, Gregory, Jonathan and the late Vanessa, the grandfather of one and the great-grandfather of two; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Albert Green served with distinction as a Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County and was a former Presiding Judge of the Chancery Division; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his career, the Honorable Albert Green upheld the finest and most nobles traditions of the judiciary; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Albert Green was a man of great patriotism and a military veteran of World War II; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of the Honorable Albert Green serve as an example to all; and
WHEREAS, To his beloved family, the Honorable Albert Green imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this seventeenth day of January, 2013, do hereby commemorate the Honorable Albert Green for his grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to his family; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of the Honorable Albert Green.^-
