RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Suzanne Reynolds has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by Alderman Edward-'M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, A longtime resident of the North Shore, Suzanne Reynolds was the loving wife of the late Thomas A. Reynolds, Jr.; and
WHEREAS, Suzanne Reynolds was the much-adored mother of Tom, Kathy, Sherman, Tim, Suzy, Stephen, Ellen and the late Julie and Clare, the grandmother of thirty-seven and the great-grandmother of three; and
WHEREAS, Born and raised in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, Suzanne Reynolds was the daughter of the late Mary Joe and Sherman FitzSimons, a prosperous industrialist; and
WHEREAS, A woman of dignity, grace and i.charm, Suzanne Reynolds was the dear sister of Fay, Joan, Michael, David and the late Sherman; and
WHEREAS, In 1951 Suzanne Reynolds married Thomas A. Reynolds, Jr., a second generation member of the prominent. law firm of Winston 85 Strawn who rose to„ become its chairman and oversee its growth and global expansion; and
WHEREAS, The couple raised their close and loving family in Northfield, and later in Winnetka, where they were longtime members of Saints Faith, Hope 85 Charity Parish; and
WHEREAS, Suzanne Reynolds especially enjoyed the time she shared with her siblings and their families at their, vacation homes in Harbor Springs, Michigan; and
WHEREAS, Suzanne Reynolds will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by.,her many relatives, friends and admirers; and
WHEREAS, To her beloved,family, Suzanne Reynolds imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this twenty-first, day of Jartuary, 2015, do
hereby commemorate Suzanne Reynolds for her grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to her family; and
