ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, On May 20, 2020, the City Council of the City of Chicago passed an ordinance, referenced as O2020-1826, published on pages 17013-17014 of the Journal of the Proceedings of the City Council of the City of Chicago of that date, amending Section 4-60-023 of the Municipal Code to allow the issuance of additional package goods licenses in the 27th Ward ("Ordinance"); and
WHEREAS, The Ordinance erroneously referenced the address of the segment where the moratorium was lifted as subsection 27.28 of Section 4-60-023, which is Wells Street, from Oak Street to Division Street; and
WHEREAS, The correct address ofthe segment where the moratorium was intended to be lifted is subsection 27.13, which is Division Street, from LaSalle Street to Sedgwick Street; and
WHEREAS, It is necessary and appropriate to correct this error in order to give effect to the true intent of the sponsor and the City Council; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:
SECTION 1. SECTION 1 of the Ordinance is amended by replacing "(27.28) On Wolls Straot, from Oak Street to Division Street." with "(27.13) On Division Stroot, from LaSalle Street to Sedgwick Street."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be effective from its passage and approval and shall be retroactive to May 20,2020.
