RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, God in His infinite wisdom has called Valentine John Coler to his eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman ofthe 13th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Valentine John Coler passed away peacefully at home with his beloved wife, Rosemary, nee Wilhelmi at his side. Loving and Cherished father of Suzy (Joseph) Elizade, Michael (Lenea) Coler, Mary (late Gerald) Langland, Dr. Joseph (Dr. Wendi) Coler, Jackie (Joe) Malesich and Dr. Kathleen (Dr. Ernest) Monaco. Proud and much loved grandfather of Dr. Mark (Dr. Lenglily) Elizalde, Sarah Elizalde(Bill) Mayer, Matthew (Elise) Elizalde, Mitchell Coler, Christina Wingfield, Rena Ramires, Mike Fuentes, Katherine (John) Kiwiet, Emily (fiance Josh Bay )Langland, Chase Coler, Stefanie Coler, Christian Coler, Elle Coler, Joey Malesich, Alyssa Malesich, Ryan Malesich, Dylan Malesich, Kaitlin (Matt) Van Ormer, Kristin Belitz (fiance Eric Zimmer), Katherine Belitz, Ernest Monaco, Karoline Monaco, Ethan Monaco and Kelli Monaco. Loving great grandfather of Theodore, Rosaleng, Veralek, Lola and Gus. Valentine was preceded in death by his sisters, the late Marie (late Frank) Farej and the late Dolores (late Gus) Zidowicz. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews; and
WHERAS, Val was a beacon of modesty and kindness with his compassionate nature and warm smile. A deeply religious man, he led his life selflessly and was always there for his family and friends in the most thoughtful, generous and unassuming way. His passing is a great loss but his legacy will live on forever in the hearts and memory of his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many friends. Val was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Daniel Vincent de Paul Society, St. Daniel Parish Pastoral Council and the Holy Name Society; now, therefore,
