RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, James E. "Jimmy" Von Thaden has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 64 to his eternal reward; and '■.'"■■
WHEREAS, The 'Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman ofthe 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS, James E. Von thaden, beloved son of Mary Sheehan Von Thaden and the late John
H. Von Thaden; survived by sons, John R. Von Thaden and Bryan Von Thaden; grandfather of
Lauryn, Dane, Rachel, Anthony, Sharina, Nicholas, Valerie, Sarah, Annabelle, Brayden Von
Thaden, and Patrick Evers, Jr.; brother of Mary Theresa "Ten" Kristof, John B. Von Thaden, •
William "Billy" Von Thaden, Christine Schrama, and the late Robert "Bobby" Von Thaden; /
proud uncle and great uncle of many; dear friend of Kenny Koval; and ; .:
WHEREAS, Jimmy was a lifetime resident of the South Side of Chicago-Canaryville neighborhood; Jimmy served as a private ambulance paramedic for 25 years before retiring; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Jimmy served to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore .
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this sixteenth of December 2020, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of James E. Von Thaden and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
