WHEREAS, God in His infinite wisdom has called Frank Gatz to his eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman of the 13th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Frank Gatz, Retired C.P.D. 10th District. Veteran Navy and Air Force. Beloved husband of Margaret (nee Vlach); loving father of Mark (Monica) and Matthew Gatz; proud grandfather of Elizabeth, Joseph, Daniel, Mary and Hannah; beloved son of Joseph Sr. and the late Genevieve Gatz; dear brother of Barbara (Lee) Bass, Joseph Gatz Jr., Christine LaFrancis and Stephen (Cheryl) Gatz; brother-in-law of Robert (Janet) Vlach; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews and cousin to many and loving "dad" to his seven 4 legged babies. Frank Gatz leaves a legacy of faith, dignity, compassion and love; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this eighteenth day of November, 2015, hereby express our sorrow on the death of Frank Gatz and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy.
