RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, On October 21, 2016, The Ogden Park Vikings, located in the 17th ward's Englewood community, won the 68th Annual Mum Bowl 24-0 to become Junior Bear Champions; and

WHEREAS, The Ogden Park Vikings had an undefeated season, going 6-0 in the regular season and 3-0 in post-season play; and

WHEREAS, The Ogden Park Vikings scored 211 regular season points, 105 post-season points and allowed only 7 points the entire season; and

WHEREAS, Ramal Lee, Jacoby Erving, Colby Cline, Arnell Evans, Jaykwon Armour, Myshean Vaughn, Elijah Lewis, Trevon McClellan, Khalil Armour, Reginald Reed, Adonis Jackson, Deshawn Parker, Aveon Sanders, Jaylen McDaniel, Warren Kinney, Amante Evans, Avery Cochran, Donte Robinson, Ameer Pumphery, Travon Marble, Tremmell Levy, Keynon Davis, Brady King, Jamari Hawkins, Dontrel Rice, Keyshawn Goodman, Ernest Temple, Curtis Eastmond, Daron, Embry, Terrence Newsom, Narquise Bailey, Samuel Willis, Zephaniah Flournoy, Derrick Washington, Mehki Miller, Timothy Robinson, Quincy Sims, Sevontis Hodge, Quentin Deering, Damion Rhoden, Joshua Gibson, Lamariss Bellamy, and Amari Moore are the phenomenal young men who are members of the 2016 Championship Ogden Vikings; and

WHEREAS, Under the leadership of head coach Corey "Sip" Deering, coaches Keith Harris, William Ballard, Alladin Jackson, Ronald Lee, Damien Parker, Isiah Thomas, Chris Flournoy, Reginald Reed, Jermaine Erving, Tiron M. Washington Sr. and Tommy Rivers, Park Supervisor David Bailey, Area Manager Phil Hampton, and other volunteer coaches, the Ogden Park Vikings were able to meet and exceed goals set at the beginning of the summer; and
WHEREAS, the Ogden Park Vikings have exceptional parental support and solid backing from the following organizations: P.E.A.C.E, Englewood Political Task Force, Greater St. John AME Church, Action Coalition of Englewood, Chicago Bears and Junior Bear staff, all of which played and continue to play a huge role in their success; and
