AUTHORIZATION FOR ALLEY ACCESS TO PARKING STRUCTURE AND EXEMPTION FROM PHYSICAL BARRIER REQUIREMENTS PERTAINING TO ALLEY

ACCESSIBILITY SOLSTICE ON THE PARK, LLC 1616 EAST 56th STREET

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:

 

SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 10-20-435 of the Municipal Code of Chicago, alley access is hereby approved for the parking garage to be constructed within the premises approved by City Council as Planned Development 282, as Amended, and having the assigned address of 1616 East 56th Street, Chicago, IL 60637 (the "Property"). Further, pursuant to Section 10-20-430 of the Municipal Code of Chicago, the Property's owner, Solstice on the Park, LLC, is hereby exempted from the requirement, or pre-requisite to the issuance of commercial driveway permits, that the Property have a physical barrier to prevent alley access, and the Commissioner of Transportation is hereby authorized and directed to exempt Solstice on the Park, LLC from the foregoing requirement or prerequisite for the issuance of commercial driveway permits for the Property.
