MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Irene S. Willard (nee Bara), born on August 5,1942, was called by God to her eternal reward on July 13, 2011, at the age of 68; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of her passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Irene S. Willard, was an active and vital member of her community. The loving mother of Ann (Robert) Torpe; devoted grandmother of Christopher; beloved daughter of the late William and Sophie Kocol; dearest sister of Diane (the late Gus) Limas, Sophie (Adolph) Bara Candir, Lorraine (the late Jim) Daniels, William (Tim) Kocol, Theresa (Gunther) Kippshull, Edward Kocol, William Kocol, Carlotte Kocol, the late Mary (Julian) Rogus, the late Walter Kocol and the late Stanley (Flora) Kocol; the dearly loved aunt and great aunt of many; Irene S. Willard leaves a legacy of faith, compassion, dignity and love; and
WHEREAS, Irene S. Willard will be deeply missed, but the memory of her character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved her; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this twenty-eighth day of July, 2011, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Irene S. Willard and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Irene S. Willard.
