RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, A 90th birthday is one of the most important birthdays a person has in their life as it is a milestone and an accomplishment; and,
WHEREAS, On December 22, 2019, Eleanor Rylko will celebrate with family and friends, the joyous occasion of her 90th Birthday; and,
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed ofthis event by Alderman Ariel E. Reboyras; and,
WHEREAS, Eleanor meet and married the love of her life, Frank Rylko. Living on the northwest side of Chicago, they were married for sixty two years until Frank passed away on September 28, 2013. From their union, they were blessed with two sons, Patrick (deceased) and Glen (Alicia), two grandchildren, Patrick and Sonia (Mike) and great grandchildren Jackson and Joshua; and,
WHEREAS, Eleanor Rylko is a three time cancer survivor and is an advocate for those who are facing cancer; and,
WHEREAS, Eleanor Rylko continues to be supportive to her longtime friends at the Senior Games and has completed numerous charity 5Ks up until the age of 85, and proudly refers to herself as a "tough old broad;" and,
WHEREAS, To this date, Eleanor Rylko continues to participate in her passion, Polka music; and now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, assembled this eighteenth day of December 2019 A.D., do hereby congratulate Eleanor Rylko on the occasion of her 90th Birthday and do hereby express our best wishes for her continued good health, happiness and prosperity; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy ofthis resolution be prepared and presented to Eleanor Rylko.
