A Resolution Honoring Principal David H. Maring

WHEREAS, Principal David H. Maring will be retiring from Pilgrim Lutheran School after 46 years of service to the Ravenswood neighborhood; and,

WHEREAS, the Ravenswood neighborhood joins the Pilgrim Lutheran School community, David's wife, Jane, and his sons, Christopher and Kevin, in celebrating the incredible accomplishments David has made during his career; and,

WHEREAS, the impact of David's hard work and dedication can be seen in the many students who have passed through Pilgrim Lutheran School under his leadership; and,

WHEREAS, as Principal, David was awarded Principal ofthe Year by the Chicagoland Lutheran Educational Foundation in 2003 and the Donald Vetter Educational Service Award in 2007;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this 4^th Day of May, 2011 A.D. do hereby congratulate Principal David H. Maring on his incredible contributions to the students of Pilgrim Lutheran School, the Ravenswood neighborhood, and the City of Chicago.
