RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING JUDY TUCKER ON THE OCCASION OF HER RETIREMENT FROM SERVICE AS DIRECTOR OF CONSTITUENT SERVICES FOR THE 1st CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT
WHEREAS, Government service is a calling that few respond to with a gusto and dedication such as that exhibited by Judy Tucker who is retiring from her position as Director of Constituent Services for the U.S. House of Representatives First Congressional District after 38 years; and
WHEREAS, Judy Tucker provided a crucial link between the residents in the First Congressional District and their representatives; and
WHEREAS, Judy Tucker remained a constant bridge to all services in sometimes turbulent conditions however, her commitment never waivered; and
WHEREAS, Judy Tucker drew on many experiences in her own life to make certain that the people who depended on her got benefit of whatever resources they were entitled to; and
WHEREAS, While too numerous to mention Ms. Tucker's accomplishments include raising five children, all of whom contribute to the benefit of our society as a whole, cherishes Elishious, her husband of 38 years, is a faithful member of the Miracle House of Prayer Church, is an avid gardener and can give any established restaurant chef competition with her wonderful food; and
WHEREAS, Judy Tucker has more than earned a life of leisure upon her retirement however, we are of like mind that Judy will continue to offer herself for service to the Chatham community where she lives; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Judy Tucker will be feted for her retirement at a banquet to be held on October 3rd, 2010; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That We, the Mayor and Members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this 8th day of December, 2010, A.D., do hereby offer our heartiest congratulations to Judy Tucker on the occasion of her retirement.
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to Judy Tucker as a token of our esteem.
