RESOLUTION

 

WHEREAS, Mary E. Murphy has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 95 to her eternal reward; and

 

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11th Ward; and

 

WHEREAS, Mary E. Murphy, dearly beloved wife ofthe late William J. "Bud" Murphy, Sr.; devoted mother of James (Mary) Murphy, CPD-retired, Barbara (late Jack) Tagler, William J. Murphy, Jr. (late), U.S. Army-Vietnam War KWS, Daniel Murphy (late), Margaret (Raymond) Setina, Eileen (William, OEMC-retired) McManus, Patricia "Birdie" (Gerard) Bumba, and John Murphy; loving grandmother of 17; fond great grandmother of 18; dear special cousin of the Helen Ryan Family; and

 

WHEREAS, Her love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Mary to her family members, friends and all who knew her, and enabled her to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore

 

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this twenty-second of April 2020, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Mary E. Murphy and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
