WHEREAS, this June body has been informed of the passing of Mrs. Mary Franklin Brewer., by the Honorable Stephanie D. Coleman, Alderman of the 16th Ward;
WHEREAS, Mrs. Brewera Brookesviile, MS native, united in holy matrimony with Robert Earl Brewer Sr on April 1,1952. The newlyweds later migrated to Chicago in 1952 where they were blessed with eight children; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Brewer selfless service provided her family and local community without expecting anything in return. She has provided shelter for those who were in distress as well as adopting countless children herself; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Brewer was preceded in death by husband Robert Earl Brewer Sr., four children, Murdine Robinson, Larry Brewer, and Tyrone Brewer; and
WHEREAS; Mrs. Brewer leaves a lifetime of precious memories with her children Cynthia, Jerome, Reginald, La'Tanya, Maurice, adopted children Suzette, Nadja, Elijah, arid Terry; along with sixty-seven grandchildren; fifty-three great-grandchildren, eleven great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends; and
BE IT RESOLVED; that we, the Mayor and, members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this June seventh day of 2020 do hereby express pur sincere sorrow upon thepassing of Mary Franklin Brewer, and extend pur deepest condolences to his family and all many lives she has touched; and
