RESOLUTION HONORING THE RETIREMENT OF JANICE AARON
WHEREAS, the career of Janice Aaron spanned five decades here in the City of Chicago; and
WHEREAS, for 37 years her contributions to the accounting firm Washington, Pittman & McKeever, LLC were an indispensable component of the firm's longevity and continued success; and
WHEREAS, in her time prior to her service with Washington, Pittman & McKeever she spent several years supporting work done for the benefit of children with disabilities; and
WHEREAS, as a lifelong Chicagoan, she not only completed her career here, but her education as well, attending Chicago State University for her associate's degree and earning her diploma from Dunbar Vocational High School; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Aaron has also been a fixture in the spiritual community as a choir member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, and also a fixture in her neighborhood, serving as the treasurer of the 75th Street Block Club ; and
WHEREAS, her retirement will afford her an opportunity to continue these pursuits while also granting her more time with her devoted husband, David Aaron, and with her son, David Jarrell Aaron; THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council assemble this 8th day of October 2014, do hereby congratulate Ms. Janice Aaron on a distinguished career and do wish her all the best as she continues to serve her community and the City of Chicago; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to Ms. Aaron.
