At the request of the Commissioner of Planning and Development, I transmit herewith ordinances authorizing the sale of city-owned properties.
Your favorable consideration of these ordinances will be appreciated.

ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, the City of Chicago ("City") is a home rule unit of government by virtue of the provisions ofthe Constitution ofthe State of Illinois of 1970, and,.as such, may exercise any power and perform any function pertaining to its government and affairs; and
WHEREAS, the City is the owner of the vacant parcel of property located at 5765-67 South Wentworth Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, which is legally described on Exhibit A attached hereto (the "Property"); and
WHEREAS, by ordinance adopted by the City Council on April 11, 2007 and published in the Journal of Proceedings of the City for such date at pages 102694 and 102695, the City Council approved the negotiated sale ofthe Property to Concorde Realty Group, LLC, an Illinois limited liability company, with a principal address of 3473 South Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Unit 445, Chicago, Illinois 60616 (the "Prospective Purchaser"); and
WHEREAS, the Prospective Purchaser never finalized the purchase and has indicated that it is no longer interested in finalizing the purchase under a negotiated sale; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Ayo Gordon (the "Grantee") of 5769 South Wentworth Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60621, has offered to purchase the Property from the City for the sum of Twenty Thousand Eight Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($20,800.00), such amount being the appraised fair market value of the Property, to improve with landscaped open space thereon; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 14-027-21 adopted on April 23, 2014, by the Plan Commission of the City (the "Commission"), the Commission approved the negotiated sale...
