Bettylu Saltzman 90th Birthday Resolution
WHEREAS, 90 years ago on March 10, 1932 Philip and Ethel (Riekes) Klutznick welcomed their baby girl, Bettylu Klutznick, into the world; and
WHEREAS, Bettylu Klutznick grew up with her parents and five brothers in a happy, active home that cherished civic mindedness and philanthropy; and
WHEREAS, Bettylu Klutznick eventually left home to go on adventures and discover her adult life; and
WHEREAS, Bettylu Klutznick married Paul Saltzman who was the love of her life and changed her name to Bettylu Saltzman; and
WHEREAS, Bettylu and Paul Saltzman are parents to four beautiful children - Amy, David, Peter, and Jane; and
WHEREAS, Bettylu Saltzman has always loved her home town and participated in countless local, statewide and national political campaigns for candidates striving for good, open, honest, and accountable government; and
WHEREAS, Bettylu Saltzman enthusiastically supported many organizations to help address and ameliorate pressing issues of the day, as well as with missions to make the world a better place for so many in need and for the public interest; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, that we the Mayor and the members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this twenty-third day of March, 2022, do hereby extend our warmest wishes for a very happy birthday and offer our heartiest congratulations and thanks for being such an involved and compassionate citizen of our great city and making a true, positive difference in people's lives here in Chicago and all over the country; and
