RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Christina Reyes has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 92 to her eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman ofthe 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Christina P. Reyes, longtime resident of the Bridgeport neighborhood in Chicago, passed away Nov. 30, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Juan Reyes; loving mother of Jesse G. (Terry) Reyes, Maria (the late Rudy) Barrera, Ana (Bob) Zuber and Juan Reyes; cherished grandmother of Nicholas, Nadia, Renee, Tori and Anjilee; dearest sister ofthe late Sam, Vivian and Olivia; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews; and
WHEREAS, Her love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Christina to her family members, friends and all who knew her, and enabled her to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this fifteenth of December 2021, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Christina Reyes and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Christina Reyes.
