RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Honorable Thomas M. Tucker has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 73; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, A resident of Wilmette, the Honorable Thomas M. Tucker was a widely admired member of the judiciary and the loving husband of Elizabeth, nee Salerno; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Thomas M. Tucker was the much-adored stepĀfather of Al, Melissa, Jaclyn, and Michael and the grandfather of six to whom he imparted many of the fine and noble qualities that he possessed in abundance; and
WHEREAS, A native of Chicago, the Honorable Thomas M. Tucker served as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War and graduated from Notre Dame Law School; and
WHEREAS, From 1976 to 1989 the Honorable Thomas M. Tucker worked for the Cook County State's Attorney's Office before becoming an Associate Judge in 1989 and being assigned to serve as a Criminal Judge at the Fourth District in Maywood; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his long and illustrious career, the Honorable Thomas M. Tucker was known as a respected mentor to many young attorneys; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Thomas M. Tucker was a dedicated supporter of Misericordia Heart of Mercy; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of the Honorable Thomas M. Tucker serve as an example to all; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared the Honorable Thomas M. Tucker to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Thomas M. Tucker was an individual of great integrity and accomplishment who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his many relatives, friends and admirers; and
WHEREAS, To his beloved family, the Honorable Thomas M. Tucker imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore
