RESOLUTION HONORING REVEREND LOUIS MONTGOMERY, JR. PASTOR OF NEW BETHLEHEM #4 M.B. CHURCH
WHEREAS, On August 14, 2013, Reverend Louis Montgomery, Jr. became the Pastor of New Bethlehem #4 Missionary Baptist Church, located at 8850 South Cottage Grove Avenue, Chicago, Illinois; and

WHEREAS, This august body has been informed of the contributions Pastor Louis Montgomery, Jr. has made and continues to make to his grateful community by the esteemed Alderman of the 8th Ward, the Honorable Michelle A. Harris; and
WHEREAS, Symbolic of the strength and solidity of family life, Reverend Montgomery has been married to his loving wife, Shakira for sixteen wonderful and blessed-filled years, and is the father of two, Camille and Christopher; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Louis Montgomery, Jr., a most beloved citizen, spiritual leader, and towering figure in Chicago's great eighth ward was called to the ministry of Preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ on January 12, 1999. He inspired his congregation by his outstanding example of spiritual leadership; and
WHEREAS, Prior to becoming Pastor of New Bethlehem #4 Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Montgomery was the Youth Pastor from 2000-2010, Sunday School Teacher from 1992-2013, the Bible Class Teacher and the Church Percussionist. He attended Moody Bible Institute from 2001-2005 and is a firm believer in the continuation of learning and preaching the Word of God. The motto for New Bethlehem Church is "Come as you are and you won't stay as you are"; and
WHEREAS, The leaders of this great City are always aware of the great debt owed our fine spiritual leaders; now, therefore,
