RESOLUTION
 
 
WHEREAS, Connie K. Barsanti has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of seventy; and
 
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
 
WHEREAS, A resident of River Forest, Connie K. Barsanti was the loving wife for forty-two years of Gene; and
 
WHEREAS, Connie K. Barsanti was the much-adored mother of Thomas and Patrick to whom she imparted many of the fine and noble qualities that she possessed in abundance; and
 
WHEREAS, A native of Anaconda, Montana, Connie K. Barsanti attended Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington and graduated from Rosary College, now Dominican University, in River Forest; and
 
WHEREAS, Connie K. Barsanti devoted her life to her family, the Catholic Church and the service of others through an array of civic activities; and
 
WHEREAS, Connie K. Barsanti was a member of the Associates of the Sinsinawa Dominicans, Past President of the St. Vincent Ferrer Ladies Guild and a member of the Board of Directors at Trinity High School; and
 
WHEREAS, Connie K. Barsanti was a longtime friend and supporter of Misericordia Home in Chicago; and
 
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of Connie K. Barsanti serve as an example to all; and
 
WHEREAS, Connie K. Barsanti will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her many relatives, friends and admirers; and
 
WHEREAS, To her beloved family, Connie K. Barsanti imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore
 
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this fifteenth day of January, 2014, do hereby commemorate Connie K. Barsanti for her grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to her family; and
 
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Connie K. Barsanti.
