RESOLUTION HONORING MICHAEL BONO
WHEREAS, Michael Bono is a lifelong Chicagoan who has devoted much of his life to bettering his community and fellow citizens; and
WHEREAS, Michael Bono is to be commended for his courageous service to our country as shown by his tenure as a military policeman and as a Life Member ofthe 101st Airborne Division Association; and
WHEREAS, Michael Bono has served with dedication as a Brother Knight in the St. Michael the Archangel, Patron of Police, Knights of Columbus Council #12173, striving to better the lives of others; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Bono is a much admired member of the Italian-American Labor Council of Greater Chicago; and
WHEREAS, Michael has given much of his time and treasure by devoting his efforts to the Italian-American Police Association, the German Police Association, the Italian-American Executives of Transportation, the Italian Catholic Organization of America and is a friend of the Poles and Polish-American Community; and
WHEREAS, Michael Bono is known for his 70 years of musicianship and for delighting people with his talents as leader of the "Swing Band" Orchestra; and
WHEREAS, Michael Bono is honored and commended for his lifelong commitment to the betterment of his fellow man and for being a role model of civic commitment and responsibility;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here in assembly this 15th day of December, 2021, A.D., do hereby express our gratitude and appreciation to citizen Michael Bono for all he has done to make this City a better place and for the impact he has had on so many.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared for presentation to Michael Bono with our thanks.
