Title: Congratulations extended to Joshua Watson on being named Keller Regional Gifted Center's Man of the Year 2010

Resolution
WHEREAS, Joshua Watson has been named Keller Regional Gifted Center's Man of the Year, 2010; and,
 
 
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this occasion by Alderman Virginia A. Rugai; and,
 
WHEREAS, Joshua Watson is the son to proud parents Patrick and Harriette Watson; and,
 
WHEREAS, Joshua has maintained honorable scholarship, was inducted as a member of the National Junior Honor Society Eagle chapter, and has earned a superior rating as a competitor in the Illinois State History Fair for two years; and,
 
WHEREAS, Joshua is a well rounded student who participates in a wealth of extra curricular activities such as art club, academic bowl, student council and color guard. Joshua is an enthusiastic athlete participating in baseball, bowling, soccer, basketball and golf; and,
 
WHEREAS, Joshua has contributed countless hours of community service by volunteering to assist with the Roseland Community Annual Back to School Parade, Labor Day Labor Rally for union workers, Pullman Youth Group, Share Your Soles, and raising funds for Breast Cancer by participating in the annual Beverly Breast Cancer Walk; and,
 
WHEREAS, Joshua has demonstrated outstanding citizenship at Keller Regional Gifted Center having served as a member of the Color Guard for three years, always being respectful of his teachers and peers, and earned the God and Country medal as a member of the Boy Scouts of America. Now therefore,
 
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, in a meeting assembled this 10th day of November, 2010, do hereby congratulate and pay tribute to Joshua Watson for earning the title of Keller Gifted Center - Man of the Year, 2010; and,
