RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Reverend John P. Frawley has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 93; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, The Reverend John P. Frawley was the fond uncle of Ellen Marie, John, Katie, Donna, Mila, Tom, Cathy, Dan, Nancy, Susie, Mary Kay and John and proud grand-uncle of many to whom he imparted many of the fine and noble qualities that he possessed in abundance; and
WHEREAS, A native of Chicago, the Reverend John P. Frawley graduated from St. Frances of Rome Catholic School, Quigley Preparatory Seminary and the University of Saint Mary of the Lake Seminary in Mundelein; and
WHEREAS, Ordained May 6, 1944 by Samuel Cardinal Stritch, the Reverend John P. Frawley served at St. Columbanus Parish from 1944 to 1953, St. Clement Parish from 1953 to 1961, Holy Family Parish, North Chicago, from 1961 to 1966 and St. John the Baptist Parish from 1966 to 1990; and
WHEREAS, The Reverend John P. Frawley was Pastor in residence at St. Thomas More Parish from 1990 to 2013; and
WHEREAS, The Reverend John P. Frawley touched the lives of countless people through his tireless ministry of hope and healing to the sick and devotion to the suffering; and
WHEREAS, The Reverend John P. Frawley created a lasting legacy of faith and love that continues to bear fruit; and
WHEREAS, The wisdom, sacrifice and dedication of the Reverend John P. Frawley serve as an example to all; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared the Reverend John P. Frawley to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and
WHEREAS, To his beloved family, the Reverend John P. Frawley imparts a legacy of service, dignity and Christian witness; now, therefore
