MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, God in His infinite wisdom and judgment has called to his eternal reward, Mr. Henry Lee Fairman, beloved citizen and friend, April 16, 2011; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his transition by the Honorable Anthony Beale, Alderman ofthe 9th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Henry Lee was born July 10, 1953 to the union of Carl and Lula Mae Fairman Sr. He was the loving brother of three sisters and three brothers. He confessed his hope in Christ at a young age. While living in Cleveland Mississippi, Henry attended H.M. Nailor Elementary School and after moving to Chicago he attended Gladstone Elementary School and Cregier High School; and
WHEREAS, Henry Lee Fairman was a dedicated employee for Dearborn Wholesalers for many years as a dock worker and as a custodian for the Chicago Housing Authority; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of Henry Lee Fairman serve as an example to all. His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Henry to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and
WHEREAS, To his beloved family, Henry Lee Fairman imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore,
WHEREAS, Henry Lee Fairman leaves to celebrate his accomplishments and celebrate his life, his son, Kelvin Moore; two sisters, Lucille Collins (Joe), and Elizabeth Layman (Robert); brother, Joe Andrew Fairman; special cousin, Jerry Fairman, and a host of other relatives and many friends. His parents; sister, Lou Alice Haney and brothers, Carl Fairman Jr., and John Earl Fairman predeceased him; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council ofthe City of Chicago, assembled here this fourth day of May 2011, A.D., do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Mr. Henry Lee Fairman and extend to his family our sincere condolences.
