SALUTE TO CHICAGO POLICE OFFICER DEOLA ALEXANDER

WHEREAS, On January 15, 2013, Chicago Police Officer Deola Alexander, Star #14368, retired after 20 years of devoted service; and

WHEREAS, Officer Alexander has served with honor and distinction since December 7, 1992. The South Side community of Englewood's 7^th Police District was her culminating assignment; and

WHEREAS, As a member of the Chicago Police Department, Officer Deola Alexander has earned the gratitude and admiration of this city's citizenry; and

WHEREAS, The Honorable Toni Foulkes, Alderman of the 15^th Ward, has apprised this august body of the significant milestone achieved by Officer Alexander; now therefore

BE IT RESOLVED That we, the Mayor and members of the City of Chicago City Council, gathered here this 13^th Day of November, 2013 AD, do hereby salute Officer Deola Alexander on a job well done and express our very best wishes for health, happiness and success in all she may endeavor to undertake in the future.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to retired Officer Deola Alexander.
