Michael Hudson
WHEREAS, Michael Hudson, was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and dedicated public servant peacefully passed away December 9ih 2022, whose passing has left a void in the hearts of his family and in the community, and we offer our sincerest condolences to his loved ones; and
WHEREAS, the Chicago City Council has been informed of Michael's passing by Alderman Sophia King, Alderwoman ofthe 4ihward; and
WHEREAS, Michael Hudson was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 28,1952, in Chicago, Illinois as the loving tenth child of eleven children; and
WHEREAS, Michael received his formal education through the Chicago Public Schools, graduating from Englewood High School in 1972; and
WHEREAS, Michael was married to Bertha Hudson and was the father to Bernika and Melba, and the grandfather to Jeremiah and Aubree; and
WHEREAS, Michael Hudson dedicated 30 years of service to the City of Chicago, where he started working for the Chicago Park District in 1980, and later became a building inspector for the City of Chicago, eventually rising to the position of Supervising Building Inspector. Michael's commitment to his work and his community was unwavering, and he served the City of Chicago with distinction for 30 years before retiring in January 2010; and therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this day the Eighteenth of January, 2023, do hereby honor the life of Michael Hudson; and
