SUBSTITUTE ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO
SECTION 1. Chapter 4-244-140 ofthe Municipal Code of Chicago is hereby amended by deleting the language stricken through and by adding the language underscored as follows:
4-244-140 Prohibited Districts.
(a) No one having a peddler's license shall peddle any merchandise or any other article or thing whatsoever, at any time, within districts which have been or shall be hereafter designated by the city council. A description of such districts shall be kept in the office of the city clerk.

(17) The area bounded by and including both sides of Schubert Avenue, Meade Avenue, Wrightwood Avenue, and Narragansett Avenue, and also including an area extending §0 40 feet south of West Wrightwood Avenue, from Narragansett Avenue to Meade Avenue.
Also, on both sides of Meade Avenue, between Wrightwood Avenue and Fullerton Avenue, and including an area extending 40 feet west of Meade Avenue, from Wrightwood Avenue to Fullerton Avenue; and also on both sides of Altgeld Avenue, between Meade Avenue and McVicker Avenue.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force hereinafter its passage and publication.

Your Committee on License and Consumer Protection, having under consideration a substitute ordinance introduced by Alderman Ariel Reboyras (which was referred on September 10, 2014), to amend the Municipal prohibiting peddling in a portion of the 30th Ward, begs leave to recommend that Your Honorable Body pass the ordinance which is transmitted herewith.
This recommendation was concurred in by a viva voce vote of the members of the committee on September 30, 2014.
