CELEBRATING THE 1001H BIRTHDAY OF MR. ROBERT L. WARD
WHEREAS, it is an absolute honor and indeed a privilege to celebrate the 100 Birthday of Mr. Robert L. Ward, a longstanding constituent of 9366 South Parnell in the 21st Ward; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Robert L. Ward is known to be a very trustworthy confidante, an astute educator and an advocate for justice; and
WHEREAS, his servitude during World War II as 1st Lieutenant is most noteworthy for his years of dedication to serving his country with the utmost respect and love for his fellowman. It is not surprising that the Armed Forces honored Mr. Robert L. Ward with the Purple Heart after being injured during battle for he deserved that and so much more; and
WHEREAS, it can easily be said without a pause in our breath, Mr. Robert L. Ward has a wealth of knowledge and clear understanding of any matter that is presented before him. His years of impartation to us and others have left an impressionable mark upon all of our hearts for days to come; and
WHEREAS, every letter in Mr. Ward's last name stands for something: W stands for Worthy to honored on this day. A stands for Admirable; everything that he has done deserves praise. R stands for Righteous; he always gives God the Glory for his life. D stands for Dignity; he walks with a spirit dignity without being reminded; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the members of City Council will stand in unison on Wednesday, October 11, 2017; A.D. as they wish Mr. Robert L. Ward peace of mind and strength in his body on his 100th birthday and years to come; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to Mr. Robert L. Ward at a later date.
