MEMORIAL RESOLUTION FOR VIOLA M. MADUZIA
WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that members of this Chamber learned ofthe death of Viola M. Maduzia at the age of 98; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of her passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Born on September 06, 1919, Viola was the beloved wife ofthe late Stanley; loving mother of Angeline (Jesse) Ruiz; cherished grandmother of Kathleen (Andrew) Maciuba and Patricia (Scott) Deem; proud great-grandmother of Stephanie and Kevin Maciuba and Justin and Molly Deem; fond sister of the late Ernest (late Violet) Simmons; dear aunt of Russell (Carol) Simmons and treasured friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Viola leaves a legacy of faith, dignity and love; and
WHEREAS, Viola touched the lives of all who knew her through her kindness, generosity and vivacious spirit. She will be deeply missed, but the memory of her character will live on in those who knew and loved her; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and member of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this seventeenth day of January, 2018, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Viola M. Maduzia and express to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Viola M. Maduzia as a token of our honor, gratitude, and respect.
