ORDINANCE

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:

SECTION 1. Pursuant to and in compliance with Section 9-12-070(b) of the Municipal Code of Chicago, the Commissioner of transportation is authorized to establish a speed limit of 20 miles per hour in the following location:

SECTION 2. The Commissioner of transportation shall post, in conformance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, appropriate signs giving notice of the speed limit established by this ordinance at proper places along the affected roadway. No person shall operate a motor vehicle at a speed greater than the posted speed limit.

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
