CONGRATULATIONS EXTENDED TO 007^th DISTRICT POLICE OFFICER Kenneth Morris ON RETIREMENT FROM CHICAGO POLICE DEPARTMENT

WHEREAS, Police Officer Kenneth Morris , Star #3300, retired from the Chicago Police Department on September 16,2016 following twenty-five years of dedicated public service; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this special event by Toni Foulkes, Alderman of the 16^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, Throughout his long and distinguished tenure, Officer Morris upheld the finest traditions of the law enforcement community and his hard work, commitment and dedication to duty earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues; and

WHEREAS, Officer Morris is a valued member of the 007^th Police District community and his presence will be sorely missed. He has earned the respect not only of his colleagues, but also of the grateful residents of the 007^th District; and

WHEREAS, the leaders of this great City of Chicago are cognizant of the great debt owed our public servants; now, therefore,

Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered this first day of November 2016, do hereby express our gratitude and heartiest congratulations to 007^th District Police Officer Kenneth Morris as he retires from twenty-five years of outstanding service to the people of this great city and we extend our very best wishes for his continued success and fulfillment; and

Be It Further Resolved, that a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to Officer Kenneth Morris.
