RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING THE CANARYVILLE LIONS YOUTH FOOTBALL AND CHEERLEADING PROGRAM ON THEIR TWENTY-THIRD HOMECOMING
WHEREAS, The Canaryville Lions Youth Football and Cheerleading program celebrates their twenty-second Homecoming Game and will take on the Brighton Park Bears on September 17, 2016; and
WHEREAS, The Mayor and City Council have been informed of this milestone by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11 th Ward; and
WHEREAS, The Canaryville Lions Youth Football Team was established by Adam Campbell in 1994 in Canaryville, a neighborhood in the 11th Ward of Chicago, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, The Canaryville Lions Youth Football Team is a part of the Chicagoland Youth Football League which includes the Brighton Fark Bears, Humboldt Park Patriots, North Side Raiders, West Side Huskies and Morgan Park Jaguars; and
WHEREAS, The Canaryville Lions Football and Cheerleading program is made up of the pee-wee team, widget team, varsity team and the Lady Lions Cheerleading team; and
WHEREAS, The Lions and Lady Lions are coached by Myra Scott, David Titsworth, Roberto Duran, Jerry Ward, Adam Campbell, Daniel Colin, Daniel Lamb, Adam Clark, Noel Esquivell, Sara Summers and Angelique Cromartie; and
WHEREAS, The Canaryville Lions have been successful as a result of the hard work, practice and dedication of the teams coaches, members, and dedicated parents; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this 5th day of October, 2016, do hereby congratulate the Canaryville Lions Youth Football Team and Lady Lions Cheerleading team on their Homecoming and wish them a safe and successful season.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to The Canaryville Lions Youth Football and Cheerleading Programs.
