RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Engine Company 79/Ambulance 92. First Shift of the Chicago Fire Department was chosen by the Mayfair Veterans Committee and the Mayfair Lions Club to be honored at the Salute to American Heroes Ceremony for outstanding public service; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this outstanding achievement by Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39^lh Ward: and

WHEREAS, Engine Company 79/Ambulance 92, which began in the 1800's as part of a Volunteer Fire Department, now has grown to three shifts. The First Shift is made up of Lt. Robert F. Joyce, Susan M. Dunn, Frank M. Kimovec, Jordan E. McDermott, Barbara J. Riggle, Martin Schnatterbcck and Cary B. Skinner; and

WHEREAS, The members of Engine Company 79/Ambulance 92, First Shift are commended for their outstanding honor and commitment to the community; now, therefore,

Be It Resolved. That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council, gathered here this thirteenth day of November, 2013 do hereby congratulate the members of Engine Company 79/Ambulance 92, First Shift of the Chicago Fire Department on this achievement and wish them continuing success: and

Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the members of Engine Company 79/Ambulance 92, First Shift.
