RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING THE LINCOLN PARK CHAMBER OF COMMERCE ON ITS 75TH ANNIVERSARY
WHEREAS, The Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce, acting as the intersection of innovative partnerships and a thriving community, is celebrating its 75th anniversary in business; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this milestone by the Honorable Brian Hopkins, Alderman ofthe 2nd Ward; and
WHEREAS, The Chamber has played an active role in the success ofthe Lincoln Park business community since 1947; and
WHEREAS, The Chamber has continually evolved to reflect the entire neighborhood, including events to promote businesses while including neighborhood families; and
WHEREAS, Staff at the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce have created a welcoming and inclusive feeling to the community; and
WHEREAS, The current President and CEO Kim Schilf, Executive Committee, Board Members and Staff have focused on maintaining a neighborhood with vibrant commercial corridors that contribute to a unique sense of place; and
WHEREAS, For the past 75 Years, The Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce_has grown to become Chicago's largest neighborhood chamber of commerce; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the1 City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this twenty-first day of September, 2022, do hereby congratulate The Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce on 75 years of success and wish them many many more; and
