Resolution

Whereas, Donald P. Dedmond, a Korean War Veteran and valued member of the Edgewater community for many years passed away earlier this month at the age of 80; and

Whereas, Donald was a member of St. Ita's Parish in Edgewater for many years and sent his children to St. Ita's Elementary School before moving to Des Plaines, Illinois; and

Whereas, Donald was a loving husband to his wife of 61 years, a doting father to six, and a very proud grandfather of ten; and

Whereas, Donald was also a huge fan of Portillo's Hot Dogs.

Now be it resolved, that the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, assembled this 22^nd day of February, 2017, do hereby honor Donald P. Dedmond for his contributions to the community.

Be it further resolved, that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Donald.
