RESOLUTION
 
 
WHEREAS, Joseph M. Brennan has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of sixty-nine; and
 
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
 
WHEREAS, A longtime resident of Wheaton, Joseph M. Brennan was the loving husband of Paula, nee Paulson; and
 
WHEREAS, Joseph M. Brennan was the much-adored father of Michael and Patrick to whom he imparted many of the fine and noble qualities that he possessed in abundance; and
 
WHEREAS, A native of Lowell, Massachusetts, Joseph M. Brennan graduated from Providence College in Rhode Island and served his country as an officer in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War; and
 
WHEREAS, From 1970 to 1983, Joseph M. Brennan was a member of the Federal Bureau of Investigation where he was a Supervisory Special Agent; and
 
WHEREAS, Joseph M. Brennan became the Director of Security for Commonwealth Edison Co., and was the founder of the Risk Prevention Group; and
 
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of Joseph M. Brennan serve as an example to all; and
 
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Joseph M. Brennan to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and
 
WHEREAS, Joseph M. Brennan will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his many relatives, friends and admirers; and
 
WHEREAS, To his beloved family, Joseph M. Brennan imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore
 
 
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this fifteenth day of January, 2014, do hereby commemorate Joseph M. Brennan for his grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to his family; and
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Joseph M. Brennan.
