The Art Institute of Chicago owns and rents various properties in support of our mission as a not-for-profit institution serving Chicago. In past years, an ordinance has been approved that grants the Art institute an exemption from City permit and license fees. We request that an exemption be presented for 201 1-2012.
Enclosed is a copy of a 2009-2010 ordinance that provides exemption from city permit and license fees. We would appreciate it if you would propose an exemption ordinance for the Art Institute properties located at:
111 South Michigan Avenue and Grant Park Campus including 125 East Monroe Street, 159 East Monroe Street, 230 South Columbus Drive,
280 South Columbus Drive 210 South Columbus Drive 212 East Jackson Boulevard
112 South Michigan Avenue
All Ferguson Fund Memorial Sites (24) 116 South Michigan Avenue 7 West Madison Street 37-39 South Wabash 162 North State
21-29 South Wabash - owned space on floors 1-3
36 South Wabash/33 South State - leased space on various floors
