WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that the members of this chamber learned of the sudden departure of Antonio Moore on October 4, 2017; and
WHEREAS, This esteemed body has been notified of his passing by the Honorable Emma Mitts, Alderman of the 37th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Antonio Moore was born on June 20, 1984, to the late Carolyn (McLaurin) Moore and Father Robert Williams. Antonio had a sister, Sonia McLaurin and two brothers, James Parker and Darcel Moore. Antonio was raised by his grandparents, Alonia and Eston Moore; and
WHEREAS, Antonio accepted Christ at an early age. He was baptized at Lawndale Missionary Baptist Church by the late Reverend C.S. Hampton; and
WHEREAS, Antonio graduated from Banner Academy High School. He obtained credits towards an Associate Degree in Fine Arts and received a Building Performance Institute, Inc. (BPI) Weatherization Certificate; and
WHEREAS, Antonio worked as a laborer, ending his career with Flying Food Group; and
WHEREAS, Antonio, affectionately called Moosie, was kind and devoted to his friends and family. He had three children: Ariel, Kayla and Marquel. He was a polite man who frequently expressed his gratitude to others. Antonio enjoyed sports, music, fashion and working with his hands; and
WHEREAS, He touched the lives of all who knew him through his compassion and love of family and friends. He will be deeply missed, but the memory of his character will live on in those who knew and loved him; and
WHEREAS, Antonio was preceded in death by his parents, Carolyn Moore and Father Robert Williams; grandfather, Eston Moore; uncles, Jeff Watson and Eston Moore, Jr.; and
WHEREAS, Antonio Moore leaves to cherish his memory his three children, Ariel, Kayla and Marquel; grandmother, Alonia Moore; sister, Sonia McLaurin; two brothers, James Parker and Darcel Moore; and numerous family and friends; now, therefore,
