RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Frank Trigg, Sr., has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, Frank Trigg, Sr., was a retired Commander in the Chicago Police Department and the loving husband for thirty years of Darlene; and
WHEREAS, Frank Trigg, Sr., was the much-adored father of Jacqueline, Lakeetha, Michael, Tamika, Frank Jr., Darius and the late Alyce; and
WHEREAS, A native of Chicago, Frank Trigg, Sr., was the son of Lillian and Detective William J. Trigg; and
WHEREAS, Frank Trigg, Sr., attended Wichita State University and joined the Chicago Police Department in 1972; and
WHEREAS, Frank Trigg, Sr., rose through the ranks to become Detective, Sergeant, Lieutenant and then Commander of the 7th Police District; and
WHEREAS, Frank Trigg, Sr., earned the respect of those officers under his command through his courage, fairness and devotion to duty; and
WHEREAS, Following a long and illustrious career, Frank Trigg, Sr., retired in 2005; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of Frank Trigg, Sr., serve as an example to all; and
WHEREAS, Frank Trigg, Sr., will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his many relatives, friends and admirers; and
WHEREAS, To his beloved family, Frank Trigg, Sr., imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this sixteenth day of October, 2013, do hereby commemorate Frank Trigg, Sr., for his grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to his family; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of thisre solution be presented to the family of Frank Trigg,. Sr. /
