RESOLUTION

 

 

WHEREAS, The Reverend Anthony J. Adducci has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 67; and

 

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and

 

WHEREAS, The Reverend Anthony J. Adducci was a widely admired priest of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago; and

 

WHEREAS, Born and raised in St. Anthony's Parish in Chicago's Roseland community, the Reverend Anthony J. Adducci was the beloved son of the late Mary and James; and

 

WHEREAS, The Reverend Anthony J. Adducci was the dear brother of Samuel, the uncle of two and the great-uncle of six; and

 

WHEREAS, The Reverend Anthony J. Adducci graduated from Quigley High School and St. Mary of the Lake Seminary; and

 

WHEREAS, The Reverend Anthony J. Adducci was ordained to the priesthood on May 12, 1976 and assigned to St. Ferdinand, All Saints/St. Anthony and St. Fabian parishes; and

 

WHEREAS, The Reverend Anthony J. Adducci retired after ministering more than 20 years as Chaplain at Columbus and St. Joseph Hospital; and

 

WHEREAS, The faithfulness, sacrifice and dedication of the Reverend Anthony J. Adducci serve as an example to all; and

 

WHEREAS, The Reverend Anthony J. Adducci was an individual of great integrity and accomplishment who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his many relatives, friends and admirers; and

 

WHEREAS, To his beloved family, the Reverend Anthony J. Adducci imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore

 

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this thirty-first day of October, 2018, do hereby commemorate the Reverend Anthony J. Adducci for his grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to his family; and

 

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of the Reverend Anthony J. Adducci.
