RESOLUTION
 
 
WHEREAS, The Reverend Jerome P. Twarog has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of sixty; and
 
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
 
WHEREAS, The Reverend Jerome P. Twarog was a widely admired member of the religious community and the Associate Pastor of St. Eugene Church in Chicago; and
 
WHEREAS, The Reverend Jerome P. Twarog was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Michaline, nee Gawron; and
 
WHEREAS, A member of the Congregation of the Resurrection, the Reverend Jerome P. Twarog was ordained in 1982; and
 
WHEREAS, The Reverend Jerome P. Twarog ministered at St. John Vianney in Northlake, St. Pascal in Chicago, St. John Cantius in Chicago and St. Peter in Skokie; and
 
WHEREAS, The Reverend Jerome P. Twarog was a former U.S. Air Force Chaplain; and
 
WHEREAS, The Reverend Jerome P. Twarog was incardinated into the Archdiocese of Chicago in 2007 and served as Associate Pastor of St. Mary's in Lake Forest; and
 
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of the Reverend Jerome P. Twarog serve as an example to all; and
 
WHEREAS, The Reverend Jerome P. Twarog will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his many relatives, friends and parishioners; and
 
WHEREAS, To his beloved family, the Reverend Jerome P. Twarog imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore
 
 
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this twenty-fourth day of July, 2013, do hereby commemorate the Reverend Jerome P. Twarog for his grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to his family; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of the Reverend Jerome P. Twarog. /
