I transmit herewith a resolution concerning the Lionel Corporation and Lincoln Park Zoo. Your favorable consideration of this resolution will be appreciated.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Lincoln Park Zoo, a historic Chicago landmark founded in 1868, is dedicated to connecting people with nature by providing a free, family-oriented wildlife experience. As a global leader in conservation science, the Zoo exemplifies the highest quality of animal care and educational outreach; and
WHEREAS, The not-for-profit Zoo, managed by the Lincoln Park Zoological Society, is a member-supported organization and the only privately managed free zoo in the Country that has something for everyone, providing its visitors the opportunity to meet and learn about animals from around the world, to relax among Chicago's most-visited gardens, and to participate in exciting daily programs and events; and
WHEREAS, As the Zoo continues to make improvements for all guests to enjoy, a new attraction will open to the public on October 2 and the Zoo will host a weekend of events through October 5; and
WHEREAS, The Lionel Train Adventure, created by the foremost name in the toy-train industry, allows visitors to enjoy a 28-car, trackless train, featuring a locomotive, a coal car, two passenger cars, and a wheelchair-accessible caboose. The train will take passengers on a delightful roundtrip journey, beginning at a red brick station and traveling through a rich evergreen forest, over a quaint country bridge, into a craggy canyon, and through a lofty thicket of birch trees; and
WHEREAS, The City of Chicago and Lincoln Park Zoo are grateful to the Lionel Corporation for creating an exciting new train adventure and for providing the first 50 train passengers on opening weekend with a free Lionel wooden train whistle; now, theref...
