MEMORIAL RESOLUTION FOR FRANK D. WETTERLING
WHEREAS, it is with great sadness that the members of this chamber learned of the death of Frank D. Wetterling on November 9, 2018 at the age of 83; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman ofthe 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Born on June 29, 1935, Frank D. Wetterling was the beloved husband of the late Mary Jane (nee Hurst); and
WHEREAS, Frank leaves to cherish his memories: his loving daughters, Jane (the late Dennis) Clifford and Lisa (John) Spano; his precious grandchildren, Catherine, Grace, Jack, Leo, Jessica and Olivia; cherished great-grandchild, Madison; dear brother, Charles (Carol) Wetterling and, sister, Betty (the late Ronald) Olson. Frank was also the beloved nephew to Marian Wetterling, adored Uncle to many and treasured friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him; and
WHEREAS, Frank leaves a legacy of faith, dignity and love - being someone who touched the lives of all who knew him through his kindness, generosity, and vivacious spirit. He will be deeply missed, but the memory of his character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved him; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and Members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, assembled this twelfth day of December, 2018, do hereby extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of Frank D. Wetterling; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to the family of Frank D. Wetterling as a sign of our honor and respect.
